(More customer reviews)using on an '06 mustang. It comes predrilled with a soft rubber insert. The number sits on top. For my application, I had to add a rubber washer to the shift lever below the knob to hold up the 'shift cover'/boot. I used an old shock bushing. The knob screws on, and you have to decide to stop tightening it at some point. Since it is soft rubber, You could probably overtighten it. I expect that if i need to remove it in future, I may need to replace the rubber.
Compared to the price of most aftermarket shift knob accessories, this seems like a deal to me. If you have a source for pool balls that you can destroy, I guess you can make your own, but for the price, this is probably cheaper and easier.
I have had it on the car for a week or two and it has not loosened up or twisted at all. I like the feel better than the stock knob.
