(More customer reviews)I purchased this item to replace the stock coil on my 1974 FJ40. The truck fires up a little faster now and I have yet to take a long road trip to see if the gas mileage has increased. The stock coil was still in there and I thought it would be time for a replacement after 36 years. I kept the stock one just in case this one fails prematurely, but it seems to be made well and advertises it can be mounted horizontally, as my application requires.
