I've been using Redline D4 for years.
In my 93 Taurus, it made the transmission work RIGHT. An awesome difference over petroleum ATF.
In my 98 Sienna, shifts feel the same as the petroleum ATF, in other words, great, like new.
In my 00 Camry, the shifts seemed too grabby/abrupt, so I started using Amsoil ATF. I doubt my wife ever would notice for comparison sake (in other words, you might not notice, either, especially if you have a heavy foot).
I believe it improves my gas mileage, though it's hard to do a good comparison.
I do run the D4 longer than the normal 30K. I recommend fluid testing.
For the Ford, I would suck the old fluid out the dipstick with a vacuum pump, a fluid transfer lid, and a quart jar. The other vehicles have drain plugs.
Just measure how much old fluid you take out, and put that same amount back!
