(More customer reviews)The Max-Fire is the only distributor I've found that is programmable; that is, you hook your computer to it and make the advance curve you want. And it has vacuum advance and boost retard, also programmable. But the PC interface is a serial port, instead of a USB. Try to find a PC with a serial port. I just spent several weeks with a very nice Mallory engineer getting mine to work using a USB/serial adapter. Be forewarned: there are bugs in the current software. And the instructions are pitiful. They even say to use a ported vacuum source, which is just wrong. This is a nice piece, but it is not plug and play.
