I purchased the power bleeder to bleed the brakes on several cars; 99 honda accord, 03 acura cls, and potentially my motorcycle, and other vehicles as needed.
First, let me say that the concept of this item is great. No running back and forth to the master cylinder reservoir to fill fluid, etc. Just fill the bleeder jug, pump up the pressure, and bleed your lines in whatever the appropriate sequence is. Brilliant.
Unfortunately there is a weak link in the chain. And that is the frigging plastic cap that is supposed to form a pressurized seal over the master cylinder. Sadly, I had no luck getting this to work correctly. I could get *maybe* 10psi before the air started leaking out. I tried reseating it, loosening tension, tightening tension, moving it around, etc. And unfortunately, every time was ~10psi, then "hissss". No dice.
I tried just doing the 10 psi but that wasn't really enough pressure to push things through the lines, plus to add insult to injury, the brake fluid ended up leaking out between the power bleeder cap and the master cylinder.
I believe this ultimately is a build flaw with the unit; specifically the pressure cap for the master cylinder. If the cap was made out of something more rigid, like aluminum, steel, etc.. basically something without as much flex as the plastic that was used, it would work 1000 times better. Until that design flaw is fixed I would highly recommend another alternative to this item, or at least buy it from a place that doesn't give so much hassle about returning it. Which is what I'm dealing with now.
