(More customer reviews)I purchased this to connect my iphone 3g to my car stereo system. At first I couldn't fully plug the jack into my phone due to the fact that my speck candyshell case blocked part of the black plastic that surrounds the jack. To solve this problem I took a razor and shaved down some of the black plastic surrounding the jack until it was skinny enough to allow the jack to plug into my phone with a satisfying click. That solution did the trick and the cord still works perfectly so don't worry about messing up your cord, just make sure you don't cut too deep as you shave the plastic down.
Otherwise the cord is unremarkable, it's pretty long. I drive a 4 door sedan and the cord reaches to the backseats easily. I'm guesstimating but I'd say the cord is at least 4 feet long or so. It's actually kind of annoying having such a long cord when I'm driving my car alone but that was solved easily enough by taking one of the twistie ties that you get for vegetable bags at the grocery store and wrapping that around the extra slack in the cord. Now it looks a lot cleaner and I don't have cords all over the place when I'm driving.
