(More customer reviews)Installed the 4508's on a SC400 w/Spoiler. Product seems of good quality and comes without instructions but a web search will give you the basics.
The important point to note is not to attempt to loosen the trunk's 12mm ballhead bolt without first heating the bolt, to soften a Locktite type securing paste, or you will strip the bolt head making the removal difficult. I used 8 seconds of propane torch flame to do the job without blackening or blistering the paint.
The 4508 comes with replacement ballhead bolts (11mm) so keeping the original bolts in good condition is not important.
Also note the the nuts that the ball head bolts attach to are welded to their brackets so you don't need to worry about keeping the nut from rotating while removing the ballhead bolts.
Before removing either strut remove the plastic clips/rubber bumpers that keep the trunk lid from opening fully. You'll need the trunk to be open fully to allow installation of the new struts. The trunk must be held fully open with a 2x4 or similar before removing the old struts.
When replacing the plastic clips/rubber bumpers observe that the plastic clips have nibs on the interior surface that fit into holes in the support arm.
With these 4508 struts my trunk w/spoiler pops open about one inch (like when new) - not the fully opening operation some have described.
